Elisabeth Robinson MCSP, Member HPC
Consultant Physiotherapist & Head of Clinic

Elisabeth has been at the Warr Clinic for more than 30 years and is a very highly regarded professional. Elisabeth is extremely well skilled at spinal injuries and where appropriate will use Cyriax manipulation to give quick results with facet joint dysfunction and take pressure off trapped nerves. She has a particular interest in treating scar tissue after operation and injury. Elisabeth also excels in RSI and sports injuries.



Sheelagh Collins MCSP, Member HPC

I qualified in 1990 at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.  After gaining experience in the state hospitals  I then worked in a private clinic in South Africa. We then moved to the UK and I worked for the NHS for a year. I then joined the Warr Clinic team in 2001. With many years of experience, I am able to treat many complaints with mostly manual techniques and I particularly enjoy treating sports injuries, headaches and pain due to incorrect posture. Treating the person as a whole is important to me and I achieve a great sense of satisfaction from helping people to achieve a pain free lifestyle!


 


 

Adrian Wagstaff BSc(Hons),MCSP, Member HPC

Adrian qualified 9 years ago with a BSc(hons) in Physiotherapy form the University of Huddersfield. He joined the Warr clinic in 2006 prior to this he had worked in the NHS and also at Manchester City football club working with the Academy youth team players. Adrian then travelled to New Zealand where he worked at a clinic in Wellington and treated a number of sporting individuals, particularly rugby players, and gained experience of sports specific rehabilitation. Adrian feels his comprehensive knowledge of sports injuries has enabled him to better understand the problems that affect the general public and therefore achieve excellent results. 
Adrian has developed highly effective skills in manual and manipulative therapy that are proven through research to be both beneficial and very safe. For the last 6 years he has practised acupuncture and uses this as an adjunct to conventional physiotherapy techniques.
Adrian is currently studying for a Masters of Manipulative Therapy at the University of Coventry. His main focus of study has been looking into the treatment of neck pain and headaches.     


 


Deborah Bailey BSc(Hons) MCSP, Member HPC

Qualified Guy’s Hospital London in 1986 and has been in private practice since 1988
Deborah worked within corporate fitness and private sectors specialising in treatment and rehabilitation of sports and spinal injuries.
Very much hands on & specialises in myofascial release and acupuncture Her expertise areas are neck and lower limb
Keen horse rider with own event horse – also plays tennis to keep fit.
Ex- national league field hockey player
Lots of experience treating horse rider,hockey & tennis injuries.

Lindsay studied with the European College of Bowen Studies and is an accredited practitioner of The Bowen Technique. As a full member of the Bowen Therapists European Register (BTER), the largest professional association for qualified Bowen Therapists, Lindsay is fully insured and in order to retain her membership, she continues to undertake ongoing professional development. Lindsay is also a qualified Dietary Educator and a certified practitioner of NLP Coaching.

David Pope DPodM MChS

HPC Registered Chiropodist and Podiatrist
Member of the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists
David qualified from the Chelsea School of Podiatry/Chiropody in 1987 with distinctions in Medicine and Surgery.  He began his professional career working in a busy central London NHS Trust where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience.  He went on to develop a special interest in biomechanics, sports injuries and podopaediatrics.
In addition to his specialist treatments he also has expertise in the prescription of custom and non-custom made orthotics, corrective nail surgery under local anaesthesia, cryotherapy and has a high success rate in alleviating painful and debilitating common foot ailments.

Hazel Smith BA (Hons) SRCh DPodM MChS

Hazel qualified in chiropody (podiatry) at the Chelsea School of Chiropody, London in 1979 and has since worked in both private and NHS (in particular, the care of diabetics and others with high-risk medical conditions). She holds a local anaesthetic certificate and has experience in partial and total avulsion (removal) of in-growing toenails. Hazel is able to treat a range of foot conditions including the care of diabetic feet, in-growing toenails, general corns and callouses, verruccae, nail and skin infections of the feet etc. She is state registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.


Clinical Hypnotherapist

Jeannette Warr BA (Hons), Dip.I. Hyp, Master NLP Practitioner

Jeannette is the Managing Director of the Warr Clinic and the daughter of the founder Tom Warr. Jeannette has a background in food processing, developments and nutrition. As a busy working mother she has developed skills and strategies to manage good health and nutrition with the demands of family and working life. She trained as a General Clinical Hypnotherapist and specialises in Weight Loss now. Her training helps her to offer clients more than just basic hypnotherapy sessions.

Level 4 Sports Massage TherapistBA Honours Degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in Coaching and Sporting Development
Has previously worked with GB Rowing development athletes and MMU Cheshire Rugby League team. Keenly interested in Sports rehabilitation, taking the patient from being discharged from physio right back into training/competing.Good thorough knowledge of principles of gym/weight training to aid rehabilitation of injury.


Pilates Classes

 Mel Coupland

A Pilates Instructor since 1999, Mel's initial training in all levels of Matwork Pilates, was with Michael King, the founder of the Pilates Institute. Mel then continued
her training in 2005 with Anne-Marie Zulkahari and Hana Jones, two of the founding members of the Pilates Foundation, the main accreditation body for Pilates in the UK.She then completed an 18 month Comprehensive
Instructor Training in both Matwork and all the Pilates Equipment. The training required her to log a minimum of 800 hours of study during her training, of which 400 hours involved working alongside a qualified
comprehensive teacher. To maintain her affiliation to the Pilates
Foundation, and through that her insurance, Mel must take a number of
Continuing Professional Development Courses each year.

Mel came to Pilates from a Gym background as an Instructor, Personal
Trainer and Assistant Gym Manager.

Mel's other passion is Tennis, she no longer plays but is a Lawn Tennis
Association Official. Having worked her first Wimbledon in 2009 and is
now hoping for Olympic selection in 2012.
