MIGRAINES, JAW, EYE OR EAR PROBLEMS? TRY CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY

How can it help you;

  • Increased sense of well-being
  • Reduction of stress
  • Deep relaxation
  • Effects of past trauma reduced
  • Reduction of disease sypmtoms

During the session you will lie on a couch fully clothed and the therapist will feel your body very gently so as to ‘tune’ into what is going on and become aware of restrictions and limitations. You will feel a sense of relaxation flowing through your body. Change is often felt after the session has ended and subsequent sessions enable further release of tensions and stress in your body.

It improves the body’s ability to self repair and heal and is suitable for adults of all ages, children and babies.

This therapy can help problems centred within the cranium such as

  • Ears: meneiers disease, vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, labyrinthitis
  • Eyes; squint, nystagmus,
  • Hormone imbalances such as PMS, menopause
  • TMJ, jaw, teeth grinding,
  • Effects from trauma, car accidents, whiplash
  • Migraine, persistent headaches
  • Breathing problems, sinusitis
  • Depression, bipolar disorder

Many patients with these problems have found positive results from the first treatment.

Case study

Mrs S had lost a family member and became anxious and depressed. This led to headaches, insomnia, irritable bowel and other stress related complaints. After her first treatment she slept soundly for the first time in years, after 5 subsequent treatments she felt   mentally much calmer, came off anti depressants and her health returned. She felt Cranio-sacral therapy “was a turning point” in this process

“I found this experience to be really wonderful. I drifted off into a state of deep relaxation. Karen told me what she had discovered about my body afterwards and I was amazed at her insight into my physical restrictions at this time. Amazing” Jeannette Warr

What is Cranio-sacral therapy?

Cranio-sacral therapy originated from a branch of Osteopathy. It is a very gentle and non invasive therapeutic approach to releasing restrictions in the musculo-skeletal system focusing particularly on the membranes, fascia and cerebra-spinal fluid. These   have a profound effect on both mind and body .The efficient working of the Cranio-sacral system is essential to   proper functioning and development of the brain and the cranial nerves which supply the eyes ears, palate and govern the baby’s emotional responses to its environment. The therapist uses their hands to find areas of restriction in the body particularly in the skull and then very subtly facilitates changes in those areas of restriction.
