 Nutitional Therapy

What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is grounded in recognised science and takes a holistic approach. It looks at the complete individual and their specific issues, health and lifestyle.

It is the science of how our body and food interacts, enabling us to focus on the underlying causes of physical imbalances rather than the symptoms. This approach leads to a sustainable long term improvement, rather than a temporary quick fix.

When is Nutritional therapy useful?
Nutritional Therapy is for anyone who wants help with their health and their diet, it may help many conditions including:
  • ADHD and autism
  • Allergies and intolerances
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Candida
  • Cholesterol
  • Depression
  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • ME / chronic fatigue
  • Menopause
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Skin problems: eczema and psoriasis
  • Thyroid problems
and those who are well and want to stay that way.
How Can Nutritional Therapy help me?
A nutritional therapy consultation will look at your whole health history to search for the causes of how you have come to the state of dis-ease that you are now in. Adaptations to your diet can make significant differences to your health, and supplements are used if necessary to get a greater and improvement, and really target the imbalance in your body.

Testing is sometimes used if necessary, an external lab is used for this, if the tests are not already available on the NHS. Your GP is kept informed, so that any drug interactions are always taken into account.

The benefits of Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy can help rebalance the body, to address your specific health concern, and also have added benefits which can include an increase in energy

What one client said
The initial consultation is really very thorough. I talked more about my health and well being with Helen than I have to my GP over the last 5 years! Helen is someone you can be very open with, mention the little things, knowing they are all an important part of the jigsaw puzzle for her and she isn’t about to judge. So we had a very frank exchange about what was going on with me and my world and Helen listened, asking lots of questions, but most of all listening and weighing up the information she was being presented with.
